Parent/Son Weekends 2005
A relaxed weekend of quality time for you and your Cub or Webelos at Camp William B. Snyder, Haymarket, VA
11:00 a.m. Saturday - Sunday morning (after breakfast)
April 30 - May 1  &  May 7 - May 8  &  May 14 - May 15  &  May 21 -
May 22  &  June 4 - June 5
 
$70 per buddy pair includes
- dinner and breakfast
- 1 night of camping
- a patch and a t-shirt
- Saturday night campfire
Activities include: archery, sports, bb shooting, handicrafts, camp songs, skits, and much more!

Ice Skating in Old Town Manassas $6.50 Adults, $5 Under 10 y/o, $3 rentals.  Current schedule- 1 pm Sunday, 2 Jan 05.  Can anyone instruct?  Good for credit towards Ice Skating Belt Loop/Pin.

$59 p/person  Saturday Beginners area lift pass, rental, and lesson.

Whale Watching at Virginia Beach
Take a Whale-Watching Boat Trip with the experts at the Virginia Marine Science Museum from Dec. 27 through March 13. The cost is $15 for adults and $13 for children ages 1-11.
 
Farm activities at Frying Pan Park
 
Sailing the Potomac with the Sailing Club of Washington
 
Inner Harbor sleepover (Cubs on Subs) with USS Torsk- Group size 20+, $35 ea.
 
Laser Tag at Chantilly's Shadowland (not really outdoors, but it builds a great sweat).
 
Spelunking with training wheels at Luray Caverns.
 
Pack Campout  May 14-15
Arrival/Departure Times:  TBA (Site availible 0900 Sat to 1500hrs Sunday)
Coordinators:  H. Scott Graves, Mark Maier
Transportation:  Individually arranged.  Assemble at Camp.
Supervision:  1 responsible adult per child.
Possible Activites (may vary depending on weather and attendance.):
Buddy System, What to Do When Lost, Reading/Making Trail Sign/Markers, Basic Camp Skills (Cooking Grub, Hygene, Making/Breaking Camp), World Jamboree on the Trail Hike, Den Time (if requested), Game Stalking, Animal Cammo, Campfire Safety.  Any pack adult may teach a class.  Round-robin style or practical exercises are much easier to manage than en-masse lectures.
